Receptions

We cater for wedding receptions and functions inside the '1862' bush chapel for up to 80 people. The focus within our restaurant is Australian bush tucker where we incorporate native fruits and spices with chargrilled prime meats and locally grown vegies. Our wines are locally sourced on the Fleurieu Peninsula, our current selection is certified 'A' grade organic.

Our 'mini' reception is available for those having their ceremony with us which is designed for people wanting a glass of champagne or beer with nibbles straight after the ceremony to celebrate with their guests, for up to one and a half hour duration.

For those wanting something more substantial choose our 'platter style' reception. We have chosen this style of reception as we believe this compliments our venue. Our views are as picturesque as the inside of the chapel so it allows guests to mingle and flow in and around the venue. It is a standup style reception but we do provide seating and tables but not in an individualised format as with a seated function. Food is presented on platters passed around by our friendly staff, food service runs on demand as each group is as individual as the next. We have a dedicated spot for musicians and this layout provides sufficient room for dancing!

 If you decide to have both the wedding ceremony and reception with us we can also provide 'pre-reception' drinks and nibbles to you and your guests after the ceremony while you take the opportunity to have photos taken around the heritage listed grounds and to the surrounding locations of Sellicks Beach.

'the hundred eaves' can be as involved in the setup of your event as you want us to be. We can provide separate quotes for flowers, decorations, musicians etc or they can be organised by yourselves, it's up to you!
